Aegean Med Spa’s Dr. Angelo Tellis, Medical Director, offers more advanced cosmetic procedures for those interested in body shaping and contouring. He has specialized in aesthetic treatments since 2011, working with experts on a national and international basis. Dr. Tellis specializes in a more natural, less invasive, and high-tech approach to meeting your aesthetic goals. With almost a decade of experience performing procedures such as Tumescent Liposuction, Lipotransfer, and Scarless Breast Reduction, Dr. Tellis utilizes a minimally invasive approach, all in an office procedure room setting.

Dr. Tellis developed a passion and interest in the field of cosmetic surgery based on the work he was doing using stem cells derived from adipose (fat) tissue. He received very specialized post-graduate training in the field and has trained with experts in Greece, Italy, Switzerland, New York, and Miami.

Practicing medicine in North Carolina since 1999, Dr. Tellis obtained his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the Medical University of South Carolina and completed his residency training at the Medical College of Virginia. He has double-board certification both in Pain Management and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He attended Marshall University for his undergraduate degree on a full academic scholarship as a member of The Society of Yeager Scholars with a rigorous and diverse educational experience that included studies abroad at Oxford University (Christ Church Campus) and at an international college in Cannes, France. He was able to graduate summa cum laude with a major in psychology and pre-medical curriculum.

A native of Charleston, SC, with both Greek and Italian heritage with his family in Greece coming from the island of Chios in the Aegean Sea, Dr. Tellis is married to his beautiful wife, Sarah, who founded a Christian nonprofit organization to stop human trafficking called True Justice International. They have three wonderful children, the youngest of whom they were able to adopt from China. He has traveled extensively including medical mission trips to Greece, India, and Africa and he enjoys learning about new cultures. He is truly passionate about his work and enjoys spending time with his patients and seeing the smiles on their faces when they return after treatments.

Tumescent Liposuction
